if you’ve ever searched any variation of the phrase “small home inspiration” it’s likely that you’ve come across the wonderfully warm and delightful living space of creative director whitney leigh morris, founder of tiny canal cottage. she and her husband adam have transformed a small 1920’s craftsman cottage near the venice canals into the most space efficient home without sacrificing one ounce of character. add one adorable curly-headed boy and two incredibly photogenic rescue beagles and now you’re even more impressed that everyone fits, right? they recently acquired the neighboring cottage which provides a bit more room for guests and creative crews and opened up the adjoining patio, allowing them to take full advantage of that ideal southern california weather. we got a special sneak peek at her new patio setup and squeezed in a snuggle with stanlee + sophee before leaving. be sure to check out Whitney’s blog for more inspiring design tips, tricks, makeovers and diys.
