well, looks like we made it through the first week of 2020! it’s a bit of a struggle after all that time off, isn’t it? i’m back with friday finds and this week i seem inspired by a kind of Gucci-esque, almost Amelie-inspired decor (perhaps it’s time i watch that yet again!). there’s quite a bit of french flair going on too (perhaps i’m excited because our new collection for super marché launches later this month). there’s lots of color, and a whole lot of pattern play going on here, so i hope it puts you in an inspired mood for the weekend!

- i am so enamored with this dining nook designed by my friend tiffany howell of night palm studios. her pairing of that mint green built-in banquette, coral-colored fringed chandelier, vintage portrait and that house of hackney ZEUS Wallpaper in Eau De Nil is just the bee’s knees!
- i find the very subtle color-blocking of this bedroom just so clever, and soothing, too. it’s pastel but not overtly so and the mismatched palette looks so lovely. this is why i hate everything too matchy-matchy and why i love the charm of the unexpected so much more. no surprise it’s as charming as it is since it belongs to the founders of French lifestyle magazines Milk and Milk Decoration — my all-time favorites.
- more of that effortless chic decor the french seem to pull off without breaking a sweat. this is the home of blogger Anne-Laure Mais of adenorah, featured on the socialite family. excellent color play here, too with those sumptuous shades of coral, pink and gold — like a Parisian sunset.
- i’ve been coveting this fashion-forward photograph for a while now and today seems like a good fit to share it. it’s by french photographer fanny latour lambert and i love everything about this image, including the color palette and ever-so-pleasing pattern play. but most especially the model — if i only had half of the style this sweet girl has.
- paris, at golden hour no doubt — just so dreamy. i love everything about this photograph of a french cafe by @ashleyamaralphotography, from the color palette and composition to the utter Parisian charm just oozing from it. lovely!
- i’m always a sucker for a room with tall ceilings, ornate crown molding, and those lovely paned glass french doors — this eclectic living room is no different. i love it all, especially the colorful vintage-modern mix of mid-century furniture in such an older, architectural home.
- this bathroom could be considered over the top with all that pattern happening, but i find it uniquely charming. photographed by @_marinadenisova_, it’s Casa Mollino — the beautiful pied-à-terre of architect Carlo Mollino she photographed for cereal magazine.
- here’s another wonderful use of wallpaper — this sweet children’s room featured on the socialite family. i also quite like the painted pink wainscoting picking up the colors of the wallpaper’s pink blossom pattern.
